YOU ARE AN ARTIST!

A DIFFERENT WAY TO THINK ABOUT ART AND YOGA

What happens when art and yoga practices interlace?

KINTSUGI

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold. A world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection — a way of living life with an authentic appreciation for the beauty to be found in what is, just as it is.

Workshops and retreats are taught step-by-step. Each participant will safely break a small piece of pottery and then mend it using the kintsugi technique. By the end, participants will have learned the steps for future home repairs and crafted their own kintsugi piece of art to take home.

YOGA

I teach from a functional point-of-view focusing on how the pose feels rather than how it looks. I believe that due to the skeletal variation from person to person, there’s no point in looking the same in any posture.

I currently teach Yin and Vinyasa.
